Overview / Responsibilities

OneAIM are recruiting a professional HSSE Advisor with extensive experience in the identification of hazards and mitigation of HSSE risks across all stages of the project life cycle. Fully conversant with internationally recognised Occupational, Safety & Health standards. Experienced in the implementation of H&S improvement plans in a nuclear project or similar highly regulated environment and supporting nuclear customers on a wide range of technical and behavioural issues.

 

Ideally qualified to:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 (Essential)

  • HSE auditing qualification (Desirable)

  • Environmental qualification (Desirable)

 

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to work in any of our project locations on site and be able to articulate real world HSSE improvement solutions across the range of nuclear projects together with the ability to drive the importance of HSSE assurance and performance in our Joint Venture culture.

  • Implementing HSSE policies, systems and procedures consistently across the project within the Nuclear Joint Venture to deliver HSSE excellence.

  • Supporting a robust HSSE assurance process (by initiating a programme of scheduled audits and inspections within the Joint Venture Nuclear business stream).

  • Assisting the HSSE Manager in the delivery of excellent business, assisting in incident investigations, training and development.

  • Providing bespoke technical HSSE advice.

 

Qualifications

  • Supporting the HSSE assurance programme across the nuclear project and offices

  • Providing HSSE advice to Managers and Staff

  • Supporting and driving HSSE standardisation across the Joint Venture

  • Communicating best HSSE practice across the Joint venture

  • Assuring legislative compliance

  • Actively driving HSSE initiatives and continuous improvement throughout the Joint Venture

  • Managing/conducting incident investigations and completing reports as directed by the HSSE Manager

  • Attending customer meetings

  • Liaising and engaging with HSE Committee Representatives

  • Supporting the development of local HSSE documentation

  • Coaching and mentoring management in HSSE activities

  • Input to vendor approvals, assessments and monitoring vendor performance

  • Acting as a point of liaison for LRQA audits

  • Working closely with the Environmental and Sustainability, OH & Wellbeing Managers to ensure that an efficient HSSE service is delivered to internal customers
