Mitie has worked in the nuclear sector for more than 65 years and with Sellafield Ltd for 17 years supporting major projects such as the opening of the new Evaporator D facility. The company employs around 80,000 people worldwide, offering advice, design, construction, equipment, facilities and frontline public services. Mitie has been providing total facilities management to Sellafield’s Magnox nuclear fleet since 2013.
Jacobs work with Sellafield Ltd dates back more than 40 years and currently includes Lot 3 of the Decommissioning Delivery Partnership, membership of the Axiom alliance, joint-venture delivery of
the Box Encapsulation Plant and a 10-year contract for laboratory-based analysis and characterisation of waste.
